Assumed to be the same bird as the one seen on 3/19/16 in the same location. Same behavior as on 3/19 - appeared in tree to left of water feature, flew down to lower water, entered water, stayed very briefly, flew back to tree, fluffed feathers, repeated trip to water, returned to tree, fluffed and then disappeared.
After a long day of searching I finally ran into a family group halfway down the returning leg of the Rimrock Trail. In the photos are an adult male with an adult female and two juveniles/immatures. Lifer!
