Dunlin? Are these possibly curlew sandpipers? Or stilt sandpipers? Legs seem dark, bill decidedly downturned. Is there a more common alternative for the location?

this bird and some others were missing one leg; while a group of birds were resting and many held up one leg, this bird did not have one to put back down. it hopped across the beach.
