flybiology: An sonnenexponierten, steinigen Fluss- und Bachuferstellen, die nur wenige Quadratmeter messenmssen, wohl berall nachzuweisen. Die Fliegen sitzen gern auf dem nackten Schotterboden, oft gemeinsam mit Limnophora riparia und Lispe tentaculata...... Speziell bei feuchtem Wetter im Sptsommer und Herbst kann Limnophora maculosa auch auf Blten (z. B. Heracleum sphondylium) gefunden werden.
