after petals fell off.. Dillenia indica Beautiful tree native to S. Asia (India,Vietnam, south through Thailand to Malaysia and Indonesia) Note: Web sources say the flower is 15cm. It seems exaggerated - compare with bee in the next photos.. They are half of that size, nevertheless they are very decorative and fragrant, but hide inside the crown.
