Summary[edit] Description: The Giraffe is a long-necked, hoofed mammal that is natively found grazing in the open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. The Giraffe is the tallest living animal on land and despite its height is mostly closely related to the much smaller and solitary Okapi, that is found elusively dwelling in the dense tropical forests. Summary[edit] Description: I am putting up some scans of slides for critical comment from my Flickr friends. I scanned a few slides I took in 1969 while traveling through East Africa returning to the US from serving two years in the US Peace Corps in Malaysia. I had a Yashica Lynx 5000 range finder camera. I used a Canoscan 8800F with no adjustments and did all the treatments in Lightroom 5. There is lots of dust on all of them and I tried to eliminate the big ones. I am not sure if this is in Kenya or Tanzania. I was hitchhiking and I believe I was in a car with a family who were with the US embassy in Somalia. I am not sure how many more of these I want to process. Date: 11 December 2013, 10:20. Source: Giraffe. Author: Paul VanDerWerf from Brunswick, Maine, USA.
