Description: The lower two petals are small and shallowly lobed in contrast to Delphinium nuttallianum, which has larger and deeply lobed lower petals. The upper two petals are lighter with dark veins, which is very similar to Delphinium bicolor. The latter becomes more common to the east and north in the sagebrush steppe of Montana. Indeed, the difference between D. andersonii and D. bicolor is subtle. Date: 25 June 2009, 10:29. Source: Delphinium andersonii Uploaded by Jacopo Werther.
