Bat in Ambohimenamaso, East of Anjajavy Le Lodge

-
Quite a number of them were hunting over water - either Myotis daubentonii or M. dasycneme. Unfortunately, I didn't have a bat detector with me.

This male (4.0g) Trinidad Lesser Dog-like Bat (Peropteryx trinitatis) was captured, precessed, and released a few nights ago in the Northern Range by our friends from the University of Glasgow. This species appears to be widespread, but generally uncommon on Trinidad and Tobago. It includes beetles, flies, and other insects in its diet. (Trinibats)
