Yucca schidigeraMojave yucca. This is the fourth year that this beautiful yucca has bloomed in my garden. It bloomed a bit later this year, I suspect because of the rains. Got to do something about the weeds, too. In nature, Y. schidigera is found in both the Mojave and Coloradan (Sonoran) deserts of California, as well as in the deserts of Nevada, Arizona and Baja California. Probably the most common yucca in California. Photographed in a private garden in Berkeley, CA.
