Saw this beetle on my rattlesnake master.. From the back it looks like fly eyes. I don't know if that is camouflage or just looks like that to me. (in further reading it is suppose to resemble a hornet from the back)

I noticed that its hind legs were quite long, and it kept them stretched out as it crawled around on this Pynanthemum tenuifolium.
