Also known as a 28 parrot for the call it makes. This is the sub species B.z.occidentalis found mainly in SW Australia. The red band on the forehead is the giveaway.
Yellow-crowned Parakeet, Cyanoramphus auriceps. Native. A species of parakeet endemic to the islands of New Zealand. The species is found across the main three islands of New Zealand, North Island, South Island and Stewart Island/Rakiura, as well as on the subantarctic Auckland Islands.
this is a tricky one, looks very much like a galah but the colouring is way too pale. Could be an albino, but was living with a flock of little corellas so could be a cross breed.
