Summary[edit] Description: English: It is amazing how strong the grip on the Dusky Langur infant must be. From day one it grips its mother's fur while she goes about her normal life feeding in the forest canopy. In leaping the mother will have one arm around the infant to start but uses both of her arms outstretched for landing. The life of the infant depends on its grip. Summary[edit] Description: English: Lutung (or langur in other language) is a group of Old World monkeys that form the genus Trachypithecus. In general, langurs are distributed in two regions: Southeast Asia (southwest India, southern China, Kalimantan, and Bali) and southern India and Sri Lanka. Lutung is slender and has a long tail. The color of the body hair (hair) varies depending on the species, from black and gray to golden yellow. When compared to its legs, Lutung's hands are fairly short, with hairless palms. Lutung sizes range from 40-80 cm, weighing 5-15 kg; the male is bigger than the female. The bulge above his eyes distinguishes Lutung from his close relative, Surili.
