Adult dogbane beetles are iridescent blue-green beetles with copper-colored shine on their front wings. They are small, oblong, shiny insect with an underside that is bluish-green. They have long antennae between their eyes that have 12 joints each. The larva is white with a brown head. It feeds on roots and leaves.
