Vista photo of the trail where we observed the Pika for dramatic effect. Does anyone know if this would be subspecies albata, just due to location?

1 adult seen & heard, and perched fecal pellets found (fecal pellets pictured - they're near-spherical and about 2-3 mm diameter). Habitat was an isolated granitic talus patch, probably <1 ha, some of it unsuitable for pika. Surrounded by low cover subalpine to alpine meadow, tree thickets (whitebark pine, lodgepole pine), and igneous rocks too small for pika use. This is CNDDB element occurrence number 80842 (www.dfg.ca.gov/biogeodata/cnddb/)

A pika was seen in this area repeatedly from 8:40am to 9:15am. It was a above the trail just after the point that the trail reached this talus slope. I only got some poor pictures with a cell phone to document it. Pika were heard in this general area from 7:45am through 9:30am.
