Summary[edit] Description: Northwest view of the Mahoning Valley from Weathering Knob, a rock outcrop at the summit of Blue Mountain, Northampton County, along the Appalachian Trail east of Little Gap. Despite the harsh microclimate of the outcrop, many trees (white pines, pitch pines, hemlocks, sweet birches, and quaking aspens) manage to survive. Date: 8 September 2013, 14:38.
