I'm not sure where they came from, but there was an explosion of this species at this location over the past week. It is a good ways away from water, but there were at least a dozen sunning and feeding mid-morning in a 10' diameter area of weeds and grass.

@greglasley Greg, I am fairly sure that this is a female E. geminatum, but the tail pattern and the very wide blue shoulder stripe made me pause. I'm not sure what else it could be, but I'd sure appreciate your eyes on it.

This was one cool park in Sherman. Elizabeth and I went around Herman Baker Park to look for dragonflies and of course, we spotted lots of other neat things. :) This is a new damselfly for me, I think. I've flipped through Damselflies of TX, but can't find any good matches. @greglasley @jimjohnson @scottking ?

Many were flying around and defending territory - briefly landing on floating algae.
