I found this bug under a rock behind the house right around noon. The temperature was about 65 degrees Fahrenheit. It rolled up into a ball when it was threatened. There symmetrical dots along its back on either side of the midline. When it was rolled out on a flat surface it was unable to turn itself over. I included a pen top in some of the pictures as a reference. The pictures were taken on a sheet of college ruled paper with approximately 7.1mm between the lines. I would say the bug is approximately 10-13mm long.
