LILIACEAE - Golden Lycoris (Lycoris aurea) /

Description:

Chinese name of this plant is "Sudden Smile". Golden Lycoris has only one single pedicel that emerges from the soil, which was probably why this plant is called Sudden Smile in Chinese as it shot out from the ground and blooms suddenly.
