Bukit Tagar, Selangor, Malaysia.Nephelium ramboutan-ake (Labill.) Leenh. Sapindaceae. CN: [Malay - Pulasan]. Native to India (Assam), Myanmar, Malesia (Indonesia - Java, Kalimantan, Moluccas (perhaps not native), Sumatra, Malaysia, Philippines); elsewhere cultivated. Edible fruit. Tough looking rind can be be easily removed by holding the fruit and using both hands twisting in opposite direction, hence the local name, "pulasan" (twisting).Synonym(s):Litchi ramboutan-ake Labill.
