Description:
Liverpool area, western Sydney. Woollybutt. One of the largest-flowered of the tall eastern eucalypts, it is a rather aberrant member of the blue gum - grey gum - red mahogany group ("Transversaria"). Note the very wide operculum scar on the open flower. The buds are about 15 mm diameter.
