Description:
Verbascum flowers bloom only for several hours, already in the morning they wilt, as you can see in this picture. Verbascum berytheum is a perennial plant, it is one of the rarest species in the region. It grows in chamra sandy soil which is an endemic soil to the coast of Israel and South Lebanon. In israel it remained in a handful of sites, since the coast is the most developed are in Israel and very few natural sites remained. This plant was seen in Liman Nature Reserve, a tiny reserve almost at the border of Israel and Lebanon.
