Description:
Black-vented Oriole Kingsville, Texas 20 July 1989 This was the 2nd Texas (and U.S.) record of Black-vented Oriole. This bird stayed for 3 and a half months and was seen by anyone who wanted to go to Kingsville to see it. There are now (2012) 4 records in Texas. I am posting 3 shots of this bird. One of my photos is on the Texas Bird Records Committee Website at: http://www.texasbirdimages.com/home/region-7/black-vented-oriole---region-7 17 Jun-4 Oct 1989 Kingsville, KLE (TBRC 1989-176; TPRF 781) (AB 43:1279, 1340; AB 44:127)
