Description:

The second photo shows the straight sided Stipule which is attached to and wrapped around the petiole of the leaf. This is a key identification point in the Swamp Rose. The plant is at the end (east) farthest from the parking lot of the first bridge from the parking lot opposite the Elderberry. I can't see the parking lot, bridges and other features and my phone's GPS isn't working. All the photos at Finzel were right along the trail or the road.
