Observed by D.A.Showler and D. Farrow in mixed deciduous coniferous woodland above the town of Slunfeh (Slenfe) at approx. 1,450 m a.s.l. Presumably refererable to M. bornmuelleri (or the very similar M. bulgardaghica). See photos. This pre-dates the observation reported in Sindaco et al. (2006) Zoo. in the Middle East, 37, 29-38.
