Description:
This morning at about 08:15, I walked past the location of the 'many toad chorus' of the previous evening and found one of the toads basking in the sunshine on the side of the drainage canal. In addition, I came across the first of many (>10) dead toads that had succumbed on the roads in the night. This was a large specimen - body length approx. 200mm.
