Image of Eristalis cryptarum (Fabricius 1794)

Description:

I put this one aside for quite a while trying to confirm it before uploading it, for some starnge reason. I should have collected it to be sure, but I did not. I am now quite sure of the ID though, especially after having stared at the Ontario Syrphid guide on numerous occasions and trying to make it into something else. I have six shots and I will upload the three best. I still can't count the hairs on the arista, but everything else seems to fit. Anyone else care to chime in? @jhskevington @stubirdnb @e-aus-kanada ?
