Description:
This is the moth with the huge proboscis that Darwin predicted must exist to match the existence of an orchid with a very long spur (Angraecum sesquipedale). A couple cool videos about this story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMVN1EWxfAU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMz6lApJgu4 I can't believe I didn't know I took pictures of this species until 6 years after the fact! It's one of my absolute favorite evolutionary biology stories!
