Birds on the tidal mudflats by Devauchelle in the Akaroa harbour, including pied oystercatchers, a variable oystercatcher, red-billed gull, paradise shelduck, a tern, black swans, Canada geese, and some mallards or grey ducks. Off to the left out of the photo were a group of spur-winged plovers and a white-faced heron.
