Image of Black-tailed Prairie Dog

Description:

Was told that an A&M student had studied this population and counted 300. I would say more. Bad thing is they are completely acclimated to humans. Some came as close as 2 feet. Understand why the great horned owl was roosting here now. Right in the middle of the colony. Ready made food source?
