Image of Common American Muskrat

Description:

Observed this muskrat feeding on water plants in the lagoon at Northwestern University. Although my photos is of poor quality, I did see it through my binoculars before taking photo. There are beaver(s) that frequent the lagoon, but this animal's tail is unlike the flat tail of a beaver, and this feeding was taking place mid-day.
