Description:
Locality: NEW ZEALAND AK, Auckland 1072, suburb of Panmure, Mt Wellington War Memorial Reserve. Habitat: Resting on foliage, in sunshine. Identification: Pygophora apicalis Schiner, 1868. Male. Lacking wing spots. ID based on Green & Pont (2003), who note (pp. 102-103) that 'Wings are clear, with a single dark patch apically on the leading margin (Fig. 3), though males sometimes lack this dark wing-spot, or have it very much reduced.'
