Description:
Identified as Texas Rat Snake based on the opinion of herpguy Paul (see comments). Though the actual live snake isn't present in the photo, the ID is deduced primarily by location and tree climbing behavior. Texas Rat Snake is the only species with these characteristics that commonly occurs in this locale. Thanks again, Paul.
