Image of Anthomyia procellaris Rondani 1866
Description:
Anthomyia procellaris Róndani, 1866, female, to Robinson trap, Søborg, Denmark, 28/29 July 2014 Poor lateral photograph shows the lateral dorsal spot is confluent with the black spot at the wing base. According to Michelsen, The Anthomyia pluvialis complex in Europe (Diptera, Anthomyiidae), these confluent spots and the fact that the median grey area on the scutellum continues to the base identify this as A. procellaris.
