Philothamnus thomensis is a specie of green snake in the Colubridae family, endemic from Sao Tome island. Each island (São Tomé and PrÃncipe), has a diurnal green snake, endemic, but unrelated to each other (Hapsidophrys principis - PrÃncipe; Philothamnus thomensis - São Tomé â Locally is called âcobra Suá-Suáâ in both islands, and it is believed that gives whips.
