Green Fool Grasshopper Acrolophitus hirtipes Charo Ranch Park, Dripping Springs, Hays Co., Texas 6 June 2013 Apparently in the northern parts of its range, this species is entirely uniform green, but in southern areas the thorax and wings are mottled as shown here. The pointed head and the high arching pronotum are quite distinctive on this species. http://bugguide.net/node/view/781395
