Image of Red-fronted Parakeet

Description:

Found a dead Kakariki on a lawn at 83 Hatton St Karori. As seen in the photo it was a banded bird from Zelandia. It was situated underneath an Australian Gum Tree of some sort. May have been nesting in a bulbous cavity in the trunk. No doubt a cat, rat or mustelid killed it.
