Description:

Kakariki feeding on top of some trees as viewed through a gap from the forest floor below. Not sure what they were feeding on but there were muehlenbeckia vines growing over a canopy of mahoe trees, plus other natives that have clusters of dark seeds. Terrible quality, but in this case an animated sequence gives something much easier to id than any one of the still frames that just show patches of green through a green canopy and the odd splash of red. (changed animation to a version slowed down from 25 frames per second to 10 frames per second)
