Description:
"2 August 2015: Observed a Red Paper Wasp (Polistes annularis) taking water or mud or both from the bank of the Elm Fork Trinity River at the Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) in Lewisville, Texas. There were easily scores of these Red Paper Wasps going about their own business doing the very same thing in the immediate area where these digital images were developed. With thanks to Chris ""Chuck"" Jackson and Steve Kerr on the ""Bees and Wasps of Texas"" iNat Project site for IDentifying this particular wasp. Red Paper Wasps are clearly out in full force across this entire region at this time of year."
