Description:

"A similar beetle was found on Google Images and was labeled as a ""Squeaky Beetle."" Bess beetles chew wood, which is indirectly a food source. They process wood in their digestive system, and then a fungus grows on the beetles' feces. It is this fungus that give beetles nourishment. They also eat fungus that grows on decaying wood, provide care for larvae and communicate through ""kissing"" sounds."
