Summary[edit] Description: English: The cup fungus Sarcoscypha coccinea (Scop.) Lambotte. (a), (c), (e) fruit bodies; (b), (d) view of whitish tomentose (hairy & matted) surface and fuzzy hairs at base of stem; (g), (h) Paraphyses containing pigment granules; (i) ascus tips with spores; (k) Spores showing polar distribution of small oil droplets (f) asci and paraphyses, cellular components of the hymenium; (j) ascus tips showing operculum.
