Description:
This is a coatí (otherwise known as a tejon in Mexico) found on the stairs of the Tlahuica temple, El Tepozteco in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico. Coatíes look similar to raccoons or small bears and can be found at the top of the Sierra de Tepoztlán. They are cared for by local workers who also care for the temple's maintenance. They are very cute but visitors must be carefule when carrying bags containing food because coatis will open and steal the contents.
