Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: Psilocarphus achenes and calyxes, microscope view, approximately 40×. Species of Psilocarphus are distinguished by details of the achenes and their enclosing inflated calyxes. This microscope view, approximately 40×, shows the shape of the achenes and their slightly offset tips, and the lobe on the side of a calyx. P. elatior is the best-fit ID (Illustrated Flora of British Columbia, Douglas et.al. 1998), though the plants in this population do not exactly match the description.
