Summary[edit] Description: Afrikaans: Manlike bloeiwyses van 'n Mediterreense blinkblaar, laatwinter te Meiringskloof, oos-Vrystaat. Die blomkleur is groen wanneer dit oopgaan, en word later ryk geel. Daar is vyf tot ses kroonblare, en die ooreenstemmende getal helmdrade. English: Male inflorescences of a Mediterranean buckthorn, photographed during late winter at Meiringskloof, eastern Free State, South Africa. The flowers change from green when they open, to rich yellow eventually. They have five to six petals and the corresponding number of stamens. Date: 16 August 2015, 14:41. Source: Own work.
