Summary[edit] Description: We drove down to Bosque del Apache, about 120 miles south of Placitas, to check out the birds. Turned out to be a wild goose chase -- too early in the season. They said to come back in a couple of months. We did see a dozen or so cranes. I think that when I go back I will rent a Sigma Bigma.
