Description:
Arctostaphylos pajaroensis 'Paradise'—Paradise manzanita. A Wayne Roderick selection of a shrub included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.1 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). The cultivar is blooms for three months in the winter time. Can be pruned to produce red fall leaves and to serve as a ground cover. Las Pilitas says that while it likes sun it will survive in the shade. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
