Pseudacris hypochondriaca 4221

Image of Hyliola

Description:

Summary[edit] Description: English: Pseudacris hypochondriaca (Baja California Treefrog) croaking Identification: Based on this site: https://nas.er.usgs.gov/queries/FactSheet.aspx?SpeciesID=2781 and http://www.californiaherps.com/frogs/pages/p.hypochondriaca.html The location where the frog was found seems to exclude the other two species in the Pseudacris genus that occur in California. The dark line through the eye seems to be consistent with the Pseudacris hypocondiaca identification as well. The image was previously identified as Pseudacris regilla. Pseudacris regilla has been split into three different species and the subspecies, Pseudacris regilla hypochondriaca has been raised to species rank. See https://nas.er.usgs.gov/queries/FactSheet.aspx?SpeciesID=2781 for more information about that. Location: Orange, CA, USA. Date: 1 June 2013, 20:48:45. Source: Own work. Author: Davefoc.
