Summary[edit] Description: limestone hawksbeard, Crepis intermedia, being visited by a Nevada Skipper (Hesperia nevada sierra). Nevada, Sierra Nevada, Carson Range, Carson Valley drainage, elevation 1585 m (5195 ft). Widespread over interior western North America, this series of polyploid apomicts is thought to have originated via hybridization between Crepis occidentalis and Crepis acuminata, possibly with additional genomes in some areas.
