Summary[edit] Description: Family: Caesalpinaceae Distribution: Found along water bodies, also planted for ornamental purpose, Native South America and naturalised in tropics. 2-3 mts tall hand some shrubs,Leaves 30-50 cm long, stipules foliaceous, leaflets 8-12 pairs, broadly obovvate, Flowers yellow, in 15-30 cm spikate racemes,sepals 5 imbricate, orrange-yellow, thick, petal 5, clawed, subequal, stamens 10, upper 3 reduced to staminodes, ovary sessile, style incurved, Pods oblong, margins winged.
