Description:

Summary[edit] Description: Glimpse of the Ghost Northern river otters are not common on Seedskadee NWR, but they aren't extremely rare either. Our estimate is that we have around 25 river otters on Seedskadee NWR, so there are a few out there. I spend a fair amount of time along the Green River in a boat, on foot, and from a vehicle, so you would think I would see them often. The reality is that 2 or 3 times a year I get a glimpse. I spotted this one swimming along the river bank a 1/4 mile below me. I hid along the bank and waited for it to swim by, and then it was gone. Until next time River Ghost! Photo: Tom Koerner/USFWS.
