Summary[edit] Description: A bathyscaphoid squid (Teuthowenia megalops) swimming in the "cockatoo" posture. The animal rotates around the spindle-shaped digestive gland, which it keeps vertical regardless of the orientation of the mantle and head. (edited out text). Date: 2004.
