Summary[edit] Description: Red milkweed beetle (Tetraopes tetrophthalmus), Longhorn beetles family (Cerambycidae). Red Butte Garden, Salt Lake City, Utah. It is actively chewing the upper layer of the stem, consuming also the toxins containing in the plant (Asclepias speciosa) and making itself poisonous to the predators. Date: 2 September 2015, 17:06.
